Few organizations endure such a long history without making a substantial impact. Our goal has been the same for the past 176 years: to help families be families. Every day Family Service helps children and families facing life's most difficult challenges. We aim to continue in the tradition of shaping a healthier Boston by developing and supporting programs to meet the needs of city residents confronting the most damaging effects of poverty, discrimination, violence and isolation.
Our mission at Family Service of Greater Boston is to promote the self-sufficiency and well-being of at-risk families and individuals through provision of innovative, culturally competent, and integrated health and social services, thereby contributing to healthy communities.
